Last November Tourism Victoria held the RACV Victorian Tourism Awards at Crown Casino in Melbourne. Owners Peter, Lynn, Paul and Luci Mannix all attended the night and were elated to receive the top award - BEST TOURIST ATTRACTION IN VICTORIA!

This March the Mannix family will be travelling to Cairns for the QANTAS Australian Tourism Awards. It will be very exciting to compete against the best tourist attractions from across the country. Fingers crossed!

Of course you can still catch a prize trout in the Trophy Lake and the Rainforest Pool, and Mary can still transform it into succulent baked trout or tempting tempura fish and chips.

Now while you wait for your fish to be prepared, grab a complimentary map and wander the Bush Tucker Trail through our new bush food plantation.
Be inspired by the huge variety of native bush foods which are relatively unknown to most people today.

The Bush Tucker Trail is looking better every week, as the plants continue to grow. The high rainfall over summer wasn't too good for people wanting to go to the beach, but it made our crops very happy!

Macca and Molly, our friendly border collies, are loving life on the farm. We will be mating them at the end of the year, so if you would like a little pedigree puppy, let us know.

FISHING COMPETITION UPDATE

Isabel catches the biggest fish ever caught at Rhyll Trout & Bush Tucker Farm!!!!

Isabel D'Souza, from Doncaster, recently caught a massive fish from the indoor Rainforest Pool, weighing 2.42 kilos! Check out Isabel above, who needed her Dad to help hold up the fish for the camera!

What made her catch even more special was the fact that it was the first fish Isabel had ever caught in her life!

Isabel's family caught a couple of fish in the Trout Lake as well as the Rainforest Pool. Chef Mary cooked their catch, then the family enjoyed a huge trout feast in the Farmhouse Cafe
.

There are plenty of big fish swimming around in our waters. Come and try to catch a bigger fish than Isabel's beauty - you still might collect this year's $500!
